Process & Accountability

How This Register Is Maintained

Every entry follows the same verified chain, from field apprehension to public publication and case resolution.

01

Apprehension in the Field

CSF patrol units, working with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, provincial police services, Canadian Forces liaison officers and Neighbourhood Watch, apprehend suspects during joint operations.

02

Verification of Identity

An authorised officer confirms the subject's full name, alias, residence and date of birth against identification or a witnessed statement before any entry is made.

03

Controlled Publication

Only verified particulars are published: photograph, residence, offence, exhibits recovered and the current status of the case. Records are withdrawn promptly when a person is cleared.

04

Case Tracking & Review

Each case carries a reference number and is tracked through custody, bail, transfer, court and disposition. Every change is written to an audit log with officer and timestamp.
